A rare mint condition example of a very early Bergama region (Western Anatolia) carpet. The main feature of this carpet is the Holbein style border -- so called because the artist Holbein portrayed this style of carpet in one of his most famous paintings. Beuatiful colors and a magical quality that cannot be caprtured in this photograph.
